In my writing, I explore the ways in which writing can interact with visual culture and inso doing, make a creative mediation on that work. I explore varying disciplinary frameworks for this examination, from art history to criticism to creative writing. I am curious about what potentials exist for art writing beyond art historical or critical writing, while using these disciplines as springboards and valuable resources. Additionally, I explore how arts and educational programming invite participation from new voices and change how teaching and learning happens.
